No Dark Patterns
Amelie is built against the 13 dark patterns named by India's Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA). Here is our commitment, in plain language:
No false urgency: we never show countdown timers or fake "selling fast" messages. Slots shown on the booking page are real availability.
No basket sneaking: nothing is added to your cart or booking without your direct action.
No confirm-shaming: declining an offer never comes with guilt-trip language.
No forced action: you are never required to create an account, follow a page, or take an unrelated action to complete a purchase or booking.
No subscription trap: there are no recurring charges without clear, upfront consent and an easy way to cancel.
No interface interference: important information like price, fees, and return policy is never hidden or visually de-emphasized.
No bait and switch: what you book or add to cart is what you get.
No drip pricing: the price you see is the price you pay. Delivery and any other charges are shown before checkout, not sprung on you at the last step.
No disguised advertising: we do not run advertising that is disguised as independent content.
No nagging: we do not repeatedly interrupt you with the same request after you have said no.
No trick questions: our forms and settings use plain, unambiguous language.
No hidden costs: the ₹199 visit fee and how it becomes ₹0 is stated the same way everywhere it appears.
No fake social proof: we do not fabricate reviews, testimonials, or "X people are viewing this" counters. Every Keep Rate and session count we publish is real, and we say so when a number is still too small to publish.
We self-audit against this list quarterly. If you believe we have fallen short anywhere, tell us on WhatsApp — the number is in the footer of every page.
